Thirty Minute Pony Stories

“Honestly Ditzy, I don’t know why I keep bringing you to these things.”, the khaki-clad pony sighed.

“Because I’m your cousin and you love me!”, a gray pony with a bubble cutie mark smiled.

Currently, the two were dangling upside down in the High Cloud Temple, ensnared in another trap courtesy of Ditzy’s antics. Daring wondered why she didn’t just leave Ditzy with her longtime adventure partner The Doctor back at their temporary headquarters. He didn’t seem to to mind her silly presence as much as anyone else did. In fact, he’d told Daring that he found her sort of endearing. But her cousin’s love life was something that could wait.

“Okay, I’ve got a plan to get out. I’ve got a knife in my pocket, and if you can reach that, we can- Ditzy? Where’d you go?”

“Hey Daring! I found the Golden-thingy you wanted!”, Daring tilted her head back to see the yellow-maned pegasus trying to hold in her clumsy hooves the very fragile artifact they’d come for.

“Uh, Ditzy, how’d you- Oh never mind, just help me out of this mess!”

“Okay, cuz!”

The mare then whacked the wall beside her, causing the restraints around Daring’s hooves to snap, sending her tumbling to the ground with a loud ‘thud’.

“Let’s get out of here.”

When they got to the small shack that served as their base, Ditzy didn’t hesitate to burst through the wall to show her new friend her “shiny”.

“Hey Doc! Look what I found in the temple place! That timey-wimey thing!”

“Oh, very good, Ditzy! Just what I needed to recalibrate the TARDIS! Thank you.”, the brown earth pony congratulated. He but down lightly on the artifact, taking it from Ditzy’s mouth, making her blush and look away grinning.

Daring sighed and rolled her eyes. At least Ditzy seemed to understand his ramblings. Sometimes she wondered if he was all there, but she guessed that was just another thing they had in common. And with the atmosphere in the room, The Doctor stealing glances while Ditzy tried to help, she felt a bit like a third wheel. Daring headed out the door, smiling to herself. While her cousin hadn’t had the best life, things were looking up for Ditzy Doo.

I liked Ditzy and Daring being related. That’s a great idea, methinks. And Daring taking her cousin to fetch things she needs to keep travelling with her companion The good Doctor is a fun idea. This was fun! Good job!
