She’s always there, in their final hours. Ponies who find themselves alone at the end come to never be alone. She always finds them, and comforts them in their final moments.
Death has been there for each of them. She holds their hands as they take their final breath, she sees the joy and sadness, accomplishments and loss as they close their eyes one final time. Her talent, after all, is bringing a final comfort for those passing.
Sometimes she’s surrounded by family and friends, as was the case with the Apples years ago. Other times there’s only one other pony there, like when the bouncy pink mare lost her father. Mostly, she’s there when no one else is, bringing one last moment of comfort. Tirelessly, endlessly seeking out those who need her, Death doesn’t stop.

Death, the final passing…personified, she helps to comfort those who die. She can’t ever stop working, because she can’t afford to. Death is the only one who can never die. In a way, it’s tragic. Who would ever have the opportunity to comfort Death? And yet, her work isn’t thankless. It’s crucial! Ponies can die in so many horrific ways, and Death, she helps them accept their fate. It is better than suffering endlessly…one can only hope Death herself will eventually be able to move on.
