Prompt #146: “Lions, and Tigers, and Bears, Oh My!”

The Prompt: Tell me a story about a mythical creature that lives in Equestria. Preferably something that hasn’t been seen in the show yet.

Note: The bestiary linked above is intended as assistance, not restriction. Don’t feel you need to limit yourself to only the creatures contained in that small list. And if you’d like to manufacture a new creature that would fit into Equestria, feel free to do so.

This is a 30-minute writing prompt. Take as long as you like to think and plan, but once you start writing, your goal is to finish the story within 30 minutes. Submissions will be accepted for 6 hours, until 7:30 PM Pacific time, 10:30 Eastern, and 3:30 AM GMT. If you don’t have a Tumblr account, send your story to us at thirtyminuteponies@gmail.com. (Don’t use Tumblr’s accountless submission system because it is very broken and will probably eat your story instead of sending it to us.)
